XYSHIMA uses AI — and tells students when it does.
The AI tutor, generated practice, explanations, diagnostics and learning-model interpretations use artificial intelligence. AI can be useful and still be wrong, so XYSHIMA is designed around verification, user reporting and transparent limitations.
1. Where AI is used
AI can generate tutor responses, questions, explanations, flashcards, syllabus interpretation, study recommendations and diagnostic summaries. Learning evidence such as attempts, confidence and review history can also be interpreted by the system to recommend what to study next.
2. AI is not an official authority
XYSHIMA is not a school, university, examination board, admissions authority or official marking body. AI outputs, mastery estimates and readiness scores are educational guidance. They must not be used as official grades, admissions decisions or guaranteed predictions of academic performance.
3. Errors and verification
AI systems can hallucinate, miscalculate, misunderstand a syllabus rule or provide an incomplete explanation. XYSHIMA uses server-side verification for generated assessment answers and rejects low-confidence assessment output, but no automated system can guarantee zero errors. Students can report a specific question, response or flashcard directly from the app.
4. Human judgement remains important
Students should compare important academic information with authoritative course materials, teachers or official specifications where appropriate. Parents, teachers and institutions should not rely solely on XYSHIMA outputs for high-impact decisions about a learner.
5. Learning-model profiling
XYSHIMA may estimate mastery, retention, misconception risk, confidence calibration and exam readiness from learning evidence. These are probabilistic educational estimates designed to personalise study actions. They are not intended to produce legal effects or similarly significant decisions about the student.
6. No emotion-recognition grading
XYSHIMA does not use webcam, microphone, facial analysis or voice analysis to infer a student's emotions for educational grading, discipline or performance decisions.
7. Data used with AI
Relevant prompts, course context, uploaded materials and learning-model summaries may be sent to configured AI services when needed to provide the requested feature. Details about personal-data processing and service providers are in the Privacy Notice.
8. Reporting AI problems
Use the in-app Report this question, Report response or Report this card controls whenever AI content appears incorrect, ambiguous or inappropriate. Reports are reviewed separately from the student's normal learning history.
9. Future institutional use
If XYSHIMA is later offered to schools or institutions for formal grading, admissions, placement or other high-impact educational decisions, those uses will be assessed separately before deployment. The current consumer study product is not designed for those official decision-making purposes.
