XYSHIMAAI STUDY PLATFORM
XYSHIMA FOR PARENTS

AI should improve the way a student learns—not simply complete the work for them.

XYSHIMA is designed as a structured study system. It combines an AI tutor with curriculum context, evidence from a student's own attempts, mastery tracking, retrieval practice and an adaptive study plan.

WHAT THE PLATFORM ACTUALLY DOES

It turns study activity into a learning model.

Instead of treating every chat as an isolated conversation, XYSHIMA is designed to use a student's subjects, syllabus, question attempts, recurring mistakes, confidence, study time and review history to make the next study action more relevant.

01

Curriculum context

Students select their programme and subjects. They can also provide a syllabus or course outline so explanations and practice stay closer to what they are actually studying.

02

Mastery, not activity

Time spent is useful, but it is not the same as learning. XYSHIMA is designed to place more weight on attempts, errors, retesting and demonstrated understanding.

03

Adaptive priorities

The study manager can prioritize weak concepts, prerequisite gaps, upcoming exams, overdue review and available study time rather than generating a generic timetable.

04

Retention over cramming

Spaced review and later retesting are used to distinguish short-term familiarity from knowledge that the student can still retrieve after time has passed.

WHY THE AI TUTOR IS DIFFERENT

The objective is productive thinking.

NOT THE GOAL

An answer machine

  • Immediately producing a final solution
  • Replacing the student's attempt
  • Encouraging dependence on chat
  • Measuring success by message volume
XYSHIMA'S APPROACH

A guided tutor

  • Ask for an attempt before revealing the answer
  • Use hints and questions to locate the difficulty
  • Explain the specific misconception or missing prerequisite
  • Retest the concept later to measure retention
WHAT XYSHIMA CAN USE AS LEARNING EVIDENCE

A more useful picture than “hours studied.”

Question attemptsCorrect and incorrect work
Recurring misconceptionsPatterns behind repeated errors
Concept masteryPerformance at a finer level than subject grades
ConfidenceWhether confidence matches demonstrated performance
Timed performanceDifference between knowing and performing under exam pressure
RetentionWhether previously learned material can still be recalled
PrerequisitesUnderlying concepts that may be blocking progress
Deadlines and examsTime-sensitive priorities in the study plan
A PRACTICAL ROLE FOR AI

Support the student between lessons—not replace teachers, school or independent work.

A teacher has context, judgment and responsibility that a software system does not replace. XYSHIMA is intended to make the time between lessons more structured: explaining difficult material, generating targeted practice, organizing revision and helping students notice what they do not yet understand.

1

Student effort stays central.
Guidance should lead back to an attempt.

2

Recommendations should have a reason.
The platform explains why a task is being prioritized.

3

Progress should be evidence-based.
Mastery should reflect demonstrated performance, not decorative streaks.

COMMON PARENT QUESTIONS

What should I expect?

Will it simply do homework for the student?

That is not the intended tutoring behaviour. XYSHIMA is designed around hints, guided questions, diagnosis and retrying before a final answer is revealed. No AI system can prevent every misuse, so the product design aims to make active learning the default path.

Does it work only for one school system?

No. The platform is designed for structured programmes such as GCSE/IGCSE, A-Level, IB and AP, as well as other national curricula. Students can also provide their own syllabus or course outline when the programme is not pre-mapped.

How does it decide what the student should study next?

The study manager can combine measured weak areas, prerequisite gaps, review due dates, exam timing and the student's available time. The objective is to recommend a next-best action rather than fill a calendar with generic tasks.

Is this a replacement for tutoring or school?

No. It is a study tool. Its strongest role is providing structured practice and explanations between lessons, while teachers and schools remain responsible for formal instruction, assessment and pastoral judgment.

What about privacy and AI credentials?

The architecture is designed so AI provider credentials remain on the server rather than inside browser code. Production accounts also require proper authentication, authorization and per-user data isolation before public AI access is enabled.

What is the planned price?

The current product plan shown in the platform is $9.99 per month for the full study system, with AI use managed through a fair-use model rather than distracting message counters.

THE PRINCIPLE

Use AI to make the learner more capable.

That is the standard XYSHIMA is being built around.
